Today my father and I were waiting for the bus. We heard two women were crying at a big man. We came nearer. “They took my friends‘s purse(钱包) five minutes ago,” one woman said, “When we were in the bookstore, three young men started talking to us. At first they were very friendly. Then my friend found that her purse was not in her handbag. Two men ran away. We followed (跟随) this man here.” The man shouted back and held out a bag showing everyone that it was empty(空的). Then the bus was coming, and everyone started getting on the bus. The man got on quickly, the two women went after him.
“Wait,” said my father. “I don’t want to go on that bus.” He went into a shop and quickly called 110. “I want to report a robbery. The man is now on No 3 Bus. Please meet the bus at…” we tiik the next bus. As we got off, we saw them. Six policemen stood around the man, who was in handcuffs(手铐). The two women were talking to the policemen.
“Well done, Dad,” I said as we walked by and went home happily. “Good thinking”.
