CHINESE American pop singer Leehom Wang dresses in style and has good manners. He wants to be a role model (榜样) for youth.
To achieve that goal, he's using his star power to do the right thing again. On his latest album Change Me (《改变自己》), he tells people to protect the environment. He lists 10 pieces of advice for young fans to follow.
"It's not easy to write serious topics into my songs. But I start by making changes myself to set a good example," he said. "I use paper packaging (包装) for my albums instead of plastic (塑料). I use recycled (再循环的) paper for my posters."
Wang told Teens that he has paid attention to the environment since his middle school years. He tries to makes changes to his everyday life.
"I ride my bicycle as often as possible; I don't waste water when I take a bath. And I don't buy any plastic trash bags," he said.
Wang also tries to get more people to join him. He wants to do a charity sale of his old clothes. He plans to use the money to plant tress.
Fans in different cities across China support him. "I like Wang for his social responsibility (责任心) and his hard work," said a Li Xiaoshan, a girl from Nanjing.
