A cloud is a large number of very small drops of water or ice pieces.The drops are so small and light that they can fly in the middle air.But how does a cloud form?
All air has water,but the air near the ground is usually is a kind or gas called water vapor When warm air rises,it holds more and more water drops and it becomes cool.Cool air can’t hold as much water vapor as warm air,so some small pieces of dust are flying in the air and forms a small drop around each dust.When billions of these drops come together,they become a cloud.
Clouds are white because they reflect the light of the sun,Light is made up of colors and when you see all the color all together you get white.The sun gives a white color because it sends out more white light than any other color.Clouds reflect all the colors so they look white.
A cloud forms when air is heated by the sun .As it rises,it slowly cools the it reaches the middle air and forms a cloud.As long as the cloud and the air are warmer than the outside air around it ,it flies!
Clouds move with the wind.Hihg clouds are pushed along,sometimes traveling at more than 100miles per hour.If there is a storm,the cloud usually travels at 30 to 40 miles per hour.
